I am currently a senior scientist at Stanford University, studying avian conservation ecology in Costa Rica, Ethiopia, and Turkey, as well as analyzing conservation trends of bird species using a database covering all the birds of the world. I have done field work on birds for the past 17 years and have about 30 publications on birds. Starting in 2001, I have been compiling a database on the ecology and conservation of the world's birds. Most of the data for the 2007 climate paper came from this database. More information on my research and my papers are on my website:http://www.stanford.edu/~cagan/main.html
