Rossi is Professor of Neuroscience at the Rita Levi Montalcini Center for Brain
Repair, University of Turin. He obtained his MD and PhD in Neuroscience at the
University of Turin, working with Piergiorgio Strata on trophic interactions
and structural plasticity in the cerebellar cortex. As a postdoctoral fellow,
with Constantino Sotelo in Paris, he became interested in cerebellar
development and repair. His research is now focussed on the regulation of
intrinsic regenerative properties of central neurons and on the mechanisms of
integration of transplanted cells in the immature or adult CNS. He lives with
his wife Maria Claudia Vigliani and two children, Giovanni and Vittorio. |
