Dr Orson Sutherland is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Space
Plasma, Power and Propulsion group at the Australian National University's
Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering. His current research
interests are in thin-film plasma deposition of electrodes, nano-cluster growth of catalysts and electrode
surface topology in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel
Cells.
His interest in Fuel Cells extends to the analysis of complete hydrogen-based energy systems, including electrochemical dissociation of water, steam reforming of natural gas and biofuels. Dr Sutherland has extensive experience in the development of high-brightness plasma ion sources for nanotechnology applications. This expertise has resulted in ongoing collaborations with both the semiconductor and space industries. |
