Simon gained a BSc (Hons) from Manchester Polytechnic (now Manchester Metropolitan Universtity) in Polymer Science and Technology in 1987. Since graduating he has worked consistantly as a technical journalist in the polymer and chemicals areas with emphaiss on business reporting. He edited Chemistry & Industry, published by Society of Chemical Industry from 1998 to 2001. Simon started blogging in 2005 and started the Big Biofuels Blog in October 2006, and he is a full-time employee of Reed Business Information, where he works for ICIS a chemicals and biofuels price discover, news, and information service. |
