On November 2, researchers at Case Western University announced the "super mouse": mice who have been genetically tweaked to produce large amounts of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinases (PEPCK-C), an enzyme. The mice are more active, leaner and have more sexual stamina and longer lifespans than ordinary mice. |
